Vegan Market Returns to Southampton This March

Exciting news for plant-based food lovers in Southampton! The popular Vegan Market Co is bringing their travelling market back to Guildhall Square on 14th March 2026, offering the city's food enthusiasts a chance to explore an incredible array of vegan delights right in the heart of the city centre.

The event, which takes place twice yearly, has become a firm favourite since launching in 2016. This March edition promises an impressive lineup of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, ethical jewellers, local artists, and environmental charities, all gathered in one accessible location. The market runs from 10:30am to 4:00pm, and best of all, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the fun.

What makes Vegan Market Co special is their commitment to sustainability beyond just plant-based food. The organisation actively tackles the climate crisis by offsetting the carbon footprint from each event and planting a tree for every business that participates. Since their first event, they've grown to cover over 50 locations across the UK, making veganism more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Southampton's plant-based scene continues to flourish, with Visit Hampshire recently highlighting local favourites in their Veganuary guide. We're proud that Cafe Thrive was featured alongside other Southampton establishments for our wholesome, 100% plant-based menu near the historic Bargate.

Whether you're a committed vegan, curious flexitarian, or simply enjoy great food, mark 14th March in your diary. The Vegan Market is a perfect opportunity to discover new flavours, support ethical businesses, and connect with the growing sustainable food community right here in Southampton.

Will we see you there?
